MEGAN & CONORS RAINY WEDDING DAY AT THE DUNRAVEN ARMS HOTEL ADARE LIMERICK

Megan and Connor's beautiful wedding at the Dunraven Arms Hotel in Adare, Co. Limerick, was proof that even a full day of rain doesn't have to spoil your wedding photographs!

 

After getting ready at their family homes, they tied the knot at the beautiful Holy Trinity Abbey Church in Adare, before heading off for their wedding photographs around Adare village and the park. And when I say it rained, I mean it rained from morning until night!

 

But Megan and Connor were absolute stars and just went with it. Armed with umbrellas, we followed our usual route around Adare, finding little pockets of shelter beneath the trees along the way. It's actually amazing how much cover you can find, even on the wettest of days, and their photographs turned out absolutely gorgeous.

 

If you're planning a wedding in Adare, or anywhere in Ireland for that matter, and you're worried about the weather, let this wedding be a little reassurance. Don't be afraid to head out for your photographs. Bring a few umbrellas, embrace the weather and remember that hair can be fixed and dresses can be dried! Sometimes it's just getting from A to B that's the wettest part. Megan had super bridesmaids who fixed make up and her hair. Stellar job!!

 

And I have to mention Meghan's shoes! I don't think any of us could get over them. They were absolutely unbelievable and, of course, had to make an appearance in a few of the photographs. Such a gorgeous little detail from the day!

 

When we returned to the Dunraven Arms Hotel, the brilliant staff couldn't have been more helpful. They even got us a hairdryer to dry Meghan's dress, and a little Shout stain remover worked wonders! Before long, everything was sorted, and Meghan and Connor still had a good hour to enjoy their drinks reception with their guests. That's what I loved most about their day. They didn't let the rain dictate anything. They just went for it, enjoyed themselves, got some absolutely beautiful wedding photographs around Adare and still had plenty of time to celebrate with everyone.

 

A gorgeous wedding at the Dunraven Arms Hotel, full of lovely moments, beautiful photographs and plenty of laughs. Rain and all!
